Beer and Sunshine Interviews Drink Local Florida at Big Top Brewing
A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to meet the great people
behind Beer and Sunshine. They were impressed with the Florida
Brewery Database, and invited me to come on their weekly
YouTube show to talk about Drink Local Florida and the Florida
craft beer scene.

Beer and Sunshine often goes out to breweries to interview the head brewer or owner on-site. For this episode we met at Big Top Brewing in Sarasota. I was interviewed by Tommy and Susie, and also met Nikki, the three main people behind Beer and Sunshine. While at Big Top I tried a New England style IPA with lots of citrus that reminded me of Calusa's Focus. I also picked up a four-pack of their Big Life Lager, a collaboration with Brew Life, to take home. When Tommy and Susie asked me about some of my favorite Florida beers Cigar City's Jai Alai, and more specifically the White Oak Jai Alai, was the first to come to mind. I also mentioned the Rome City IPA by Brew Hub, as well as some beers I like seasonally including the Hoppy Blonde from Naughty Monk and Hawaiian Lion Coffee Coconut Porter by Big Top. There's so many great Florida beers to choose from, I didn't have time to cover them all.
